A Dream Born
in the Himalayas

"We didn't start a business. We started a movement — to make the mountains accessible, safe, and magical for every Indian."

MilesNPeople started in 2016 when our founder Arjun Rawat, a passionate mountaineer from Rishikesh, noticed that most travel companies treated the mountains as a backdrop — not a destination with a soul. He set out to change that.

What began as a small group of 8 friends trekking to Kedarnath has grown into one of India's most trusted travel companies — serving over 500 travellers every year across Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and beyond.

The Beginning

Arjun Rawat leads his first group of 8 friends on a Kedarnath trek. Everyone returns transformed. MilesNPeople is born from that single experience.

2017

Building the Team

Priya Mehta joins as co-founder, bringing hospitality expertise. A team of 5 certified guides is assembled from local mountain communities.

2018

100 Travellers Milestone

Word-of-mouth explodes. We cross 100 happy travellers, all from referrals alone. Our reputation for safety and authentic experiences spreads across India.

2020

Expanding to New Horizons

Despite the pandemic, we expanded our portfolio to Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh. We launched our virtual trek series, keeping the adventure alive online.

2022

Eco-Tourism Recognition
