First time skiing and I was terrified. But our instructor Rajesh ji was INCREDIBLE — patient, funny, and genuinely skilled at teaching. By day 2 I was doing parallel turns on the intermediate slope. Nanda Devi sunrise from Auli is something I'll never forget. Absolutely worth every rupee!
Went as a group of 6 friends. The gondola ride in snowfall was pure magic. Hotel was warm and cozy — exactly what you need after a long ski day. MilesNPeople handled all logistics seamlessly and the bonfire dinners were unforgettable. Already planning to go again next January!
No experience needed! Our certified GMNRC instructors start from absolute basics. By day 2, most beginners can handle intermediate slopes with confidence. For experienced skiers, we have advanced slope passes and more challenging runs available.
January and February offer the best snow conditions — typically 5-8cm of natural snow on the slopes. Mid-February is the sweet spot: excellent snow quality, clear skies, and the annual National Winter Games (if scheduled). March snow can be slushy by afternoon.
Yes! Auli has well-designated beginner slopes that are gentle and safe. Children above 8 years can ski with our instructors. All participants receive helmets, padded gloves, and proper ski boots. Our instructors maintain a ratio of max 4 students per instructor.
