Soaking in Kheerganga's hot springs with Himalayan peaks all around me while it was raining was THE moment of 2024. The Chalal riverside camp with bonfire and stars was equally magical. Incredible value for money — I've already booked Spiti with MilesNPeople for next year!
The Parvati Valley is absolutely magical and MilesNPeople made it accessible without hassle. Our guide Deepak was brilliant — knew every shortcut on the Kheerganga trail and the best café in Kasol for breakfast. Perfect 4-day trip. Highly recommended for solo travellers and groups alike.
The Kheerganga trek is rated Easy–Moderate. It's 14km (one way) with a gradual ascent of approximately 1,100m over 4–5 hours. The trail is well-marked and used by thousands of trekkers every season. First-timers do this regularly. You should be in reasonable health and comfortable walking for 4–5 hours. Trekking poles recommended for the final steep section.
Yes — Kasol is one of the most popular solo female travel destinations in India. The town has a very cosmopolitan vibe with lots of international backpackers. Standard safety precautions apply as they would anywhere. Our guide is always present. Many of our past solo female travellers have rated safety and comfort 5/5.
Best time: April–June and September–November. Summer (April–June) has excellent weather, blooming forests and comfortable temperatures. Post-monsoon (September–November) is stunning with crystal clear skies. The trek closes in winter (December–March) due to snow. Monsoon (July–August) is possible but trails can be slippery — not recommended.
We provide tents, sleeping bags and mats for the Kheerganga and Chalal camps. You should carry your own comfortable trekking shoes, warm layers (it gets cold at night even in summer), a rain jacket, water bottle, sunscreen and a small backpack for the trek. We'll send you a complete packing list on booking.
Yes! We offer a 6-day extension that includes Tosh village (a hidden gem above Kheerganga), Grahan village trek, and Pin Parvati Pass viewpoint. We can also add Manikaran Gurudwara — famous for its geothermal springs and Gold Temple — into any itinerary. WhatsApp us for custom packages.
